10 tips to help you find a job in Worcester using the Internet

Searching Online for a job has changed the traditional way in which we look for work. The internet makes our searches quicker, easier more relevant and instant.  We no longer have to wait for the jobs to be advertised once a week in the local paper.  The downside is that with so much information available with the click of a mouse that it is easy to waste valuable time getting side tracked. If you want to avoid wading through hundreds of vacancies it’s important to make your search as targeted as possible. For most people the location of the job is paramount, so knowing the town you would like to work in is probably high on the list of requirements for a job. The points below can be applied to your job search regardless of location but for the purpose of this article we shall use the example of searching for jobs in Worcester

1. Find out the Deadline

There are a lot of national websites dedicated to helping you find a job and these databases can narrow your search to a geographic area. Most of these sites are good at removing vacancies that have passed or been filled but it’s always a good idea to double check the deadline. You don’t want to waste time writing an application for the perfect job in Worcester only to discover that the deadline was last month. If you’re not sure, email the employer or pick up the phone!

2. Check the terms and conditions

As well as searching websites for jobs you can also add your CV to recruitment sites. If a position sounds too good to be true, then it probably is! Recruitment sites want you to sign up with them so they will, like any other business, want to attract you to be on their books.
