White Platinum

Can white gold be dipped in Platinum (plated) so that I don’t have to have it replated so often as with gold?

My white gold ring is starting to show wear, I can get it Rhodium plated again or someone suggested platinum plating but my jeweller said it’s impossible to do on white gold. Is this true?

Try to get it chrome plated its cheaper and last longer, Keeps a nice shine.
Platinum is a very hot substance when being applied and white gold is a very soft substance.
What this means is that plating the ring with platinum would melt it or deform it if your lucky . But Chrome can be sprayed on when magnetised and each layer contributes to shine so the more layers the more shine and protection
