Tier Cake

Good cake recipe for a 3 tier cake?

I am making a 3 tier cake and need to find a recipe for a nice sturdy cake. Also, I am planning on filling the layers and I’m nervous about it soaking through the layers if the cake is not dense enough. Any advice is appreciated!

It’s moist enough that your filling won’t soak through.

It doesn’t really matter how sturdy the cake is, the dowels support the plates, even in a stacked cake.
