Farmville Coins and Farmville Cash

In Farmville there are two different kinds of money: Farm Coins and Farm Cash. Farm Cash is a rather recent addition to the game. It enables you to purchase more elite items. A unique item named the Flying Saucer can only be purchased with Farm Cash during the Alien Invasion in Farmville. Buildings such as the Pagoda, Tea House and Groovy Barn require that you save up your Farm Cash or buy more on your account.

You can add both Coins and Cash to your account, however, you have to pay with real money through your credit card or Paypal account. Currently, Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted as payment. I advise spending real money only on Farm Cash; with a relatively low time investment you can easily save up lots of coins for other things.

Coins

You will deal with Farm coins more often because it is the common currency used in Farmville. When you plow, plant or buy some items, coins are what you’ll use. Your harvests are all in coins; when you receive milk from a cow, you receive coins directly into your account balance which can be seen at the top left of your screen. It is the same for trees; when you harvest an orange tree, you don’t receive oranges, you receive coins. Keeping a close watch on your balance will assist you in determning what crops to plant. There are times when you have to select between growing a whole field of a inexpensive crop or growing just a couple of squares of an expensive crop. Keep a calculator close by and find out which particular crop is yielding you the most bang for your buck.

Farm Cash

Farm cash is generated on your account at the rate of 1 a day, so DON’T SPEND YOUR FARM CASH ON ANYTHING YOU CAN BUY WITH COINS!!! . Remember to think sensibly before spending your FarmCash. Farmville items such as special buildings, special farmville animals during events, fuel for your vehicles can only be obtained using Farm Cash. Save your Farm Cash until you certainly need it!!!  Only spend your Farm Cash for rare items during events that will help you build your collection of special items. Wise purchases include unique animals like the Baby Turkey which appeared during the Thanksgiving event (though there is a Wild Turkey also available during this event as a Lost Animal), decorations only offered during that event, as well as anything that you think your farm can’t do without. Remember, it’s your own farm therefore make it show your own personality and style.

When it comes to buying vehicles such as a tractor or seeder, be certain that you’re able to handle the cost of fuel. For your vehicle to serve its purpose, it needs fuel. If not it will simply be a pricey decoration. If you’re planning on having a big farm with several vehicles, you may want to consider spending your real cash on Farm Cash to help keep things running effortlessly.
