5. No, because it has absolutely no basis. The Mayan Long Count calendar ends in 2012. That’s not the same as the end of the world, and even if the Mayans DID think it was the end of the world, why should I take that as fact?

In addition, there is always some group somewhere prophesying the end of the world. It has been going on for literally thousands of years. Why should this one be right when all the others have been wrong?
