Roses Bread

I wanted to thaw my fresh baked bread from the freezer in the microwave and it never rose. How come?

Okay, so what I really meant to ask was “A couple was preparing dinner for friends. They
wanted to serve fresh baked bread. They had forgotten to take the bread dough
out of the freezer, so they used the microwave oven to thaw the dough. The thawed
bread dough never rose. Please explain to the unhappy couple what must occur for
bread to rise and why their bread did not rise. ”

It didn’t rise because your microwave kilt the little yeasty cells.
NEVER microwave bread. Or dough. Apparently!
