Pepper Shakers

Crafts got any cute ideas how to decorate clear glass salt and pepper Shakers?

Good answers with the paint. Any other ideas besides painting?

acrylic paint (most a re labelled as okay for glass) and when dry a couple of coats of clearcoat (lacquer)
a mosaic of ribbons or tissue paper pasted on with a glue that dries clear, then the lacquer coats
PS: Just asked my sister and she suggested something that sounded interesting – sea salt or kosher salt layered onto glue (it looks kind of like snow crystals) then covered in lacquer. The pepper one we couldn’t think of anything except perhaps whole peppercorns (different colors)
