Exercise Your Way To A Luscious Lunch
I file online restaurant menus in my desktop computer. I post a few from my favorite restaurants around my computer workstation desk. They may not be within walking distance of my job but they are within reach of my bicycle.
People who know about my affectionate relationship with fantastic food ask how I stay so fit. I am a bit of a health nut that loves the taste and smell of a well prepared meal. This can be a problem when you work downtown and have a sixty minute lunch break.
Parking is the biggest problem. Traffic is a genuine time thief. Unable to grab a decent workout or meal over an hour is frustrating. I have discovered the perfect resolution.
I use my bicycle to travel to a number of cafes near my office. There are other diamondback bikes secured to the rack in front of our building. I possess a nice ride just a few feet from the front door.
Some of the small cafes feature a signature dish from private chefs in the area. I eat a splendid meal and burn off the calories on my bike. Traffic and parking are not a problem.
The health benefits also result in a more fitful appearance. The distance I can cover on my bike means a wider selection of lunch locations. This is an outstanding combination that fits into sixty minutes.
I use a backpack to carry water bottles or other refreshments. The model I use is light and sturdy. It is the perfect space for leftover portions that will become my midnight snack.
I am eating better because I have more choices. I do not balk at a rich dessert because I will ride my bike back to work and feel energized rather than sleepy.
Our company is now offering additional bike racks and free bike locks to riders. They know that incentives work and healthier employees are better producers.
I enjoy a wider selection of midday cuisine, exercise without sweating, reduced stress levels, and increased health. This is a terrific way to solve some of the problems associated with working downtown.
There are a few sensible precautions to take first in case your bike is vandalized or stolen. Store photos on your computer for law enforcement, use a proper chain lock product, and consider a hidden mark on the frame.
