No Production For UK Say Nissan Micra

For last 18 years Nissan Micra has been produced in the UK. And Nissan have now said that they will not be producing Micras in the UK anymore. Micra’s new cars were built in plant in Sunderland and for last 18 years there has been 2,368,704 Micras built. Japenese automaker Nissan has been producing Micra’s for last 18 years. Nissan cars have always been recognised as powerful and reliable cars in the World. But we all know all Japanese cars are famous for its reliability.

UK Vice President of Manufacturing, Kevin Fitzpatrick was quoted saying this is a sad moment that we have to stop the production of Micras in the UK. This is a very sad moment because Micra is like a part of our plant’s life as we have been producing the car for last 18 years.

Micra’s production means there will be a start of new production of Juke. Last March Micra made its global debut in Geneva and now will be built in South of India in a city called Chennai. The Juke to be honest looks pretty cool. The Juke’s shape is in the middle of Cube from Nissan and Clio from Renault. The Juke has many more advantages such as it will be economical in fuel, it has extra safety features and it has been made bigger in length and width than the Micra.

There are already some car reviews online, if you wish to read more on this particular new model by Nissan. I think it will be a brilliant car for youngsters and students. At the moment the fuel prices are rising and it doesn’t look like it’s going to come down anytime soon so fuel does matter when buying a car. Another biggest concern in the UK is the cost of the insurance, the insurance cost has grown significantly high and let’s just hope this car’s insurance is cheap.
