Sitting across the table from me was a witty, wonderful, and engaging New Yorker, CC, my dearest buddy in San Diego. He decided to take me towards the San Diego Yacht Club for my birthday. We were seated immediately on the deck overlooking the boats and yachts. The service was great and our waiter, Gustavo, checked on us consistently for the three hours we had been there. Then I added some delicious Belgium waffles with berry salsa and REAL maple syrup.
The cheese blintz was the ideal item to finish off that very first trip. On the second trip I had to go using the Prime Rib, carved right in front of me, and topped using the aromatic gravy. Somehow there were endless fantastic delights at just about every station. And somehow I attempted something from the cold side station, salad station, breakfast and lunch stations. Our waiter even made a particular drink of cranberry and pineapple juice for me. But obviously given that we were celebrating my birthday, I had to have some mimosa followed by just plain terrific bubbly champagne.
Food is definitely a universal language that blends anyplace and everywhere. Even if you’ll find differences with culture, way of living as well as the taste of food, worldwide any nation and any place will constantly have a huge variety of food that could tangle anyone’s taste buds. San Diego just isn’t just identified for it’s scenic beauty. however it is also identified for the varieties of different mouth watering, taste bud tangling restaurants.
All dishes proved to surpass my expectations. Although dining in such a perfect, calm setting, we were entertained having a radio-controlled sail boat race. I kept saying, “CC, you are going to need to pry me out of here with a crowbar, I in no way need to leave.” Our waiter in fact encouraged us to remain so long as we wanted. Knowing CC was performing his final preparation just before taking his beloved sister to Paris, I knew I couldn’t genuinely stay forever. And they flew by with all of the fabulous food and wonderful service. I would definitely highly advocate the SDYC to everyone.
