England Brigadoon
Do you believe in the concept of time tracks?
There is the theory that possibly every generation is living upon the Earth at the same time, but are invisible to another track of time because the vibrations are different. So Camelot and modern England could be occupying the same space at the same time, and the American Revolution could be happening in Pennsylvania in the same space as the car whizzing by on the Interstate.
In the play, “Brigadoon” this was the concept, that a town appeared every 100 years and then disappeared again.
Anyway, what do you think of the possibility that time tracks exist?
I’m not sure that this idea, even if true, would be very meaningful in any way. If we can’t get onto any of the other tracks, then how is that any different from just having a single universe and a single timeline? And if we can, what physical principle would allow us to do that, and also why haven’t we seen any time travelers (or rather, track switchers) arriving in our own timeline? Also, who’s to say that, if this idea is real, different timelines would not also move at different speeds? Actually, that would make a really good premise for a science fiction story, where you can get into the past or into the future by switching tracks and then waiting for your own track to pass by at a different rate of time…there could even be a phenomenon where track jumpers tend to migrate towards either slower or faster timelines, so either the slowest or fastest timelines end up way overcrowded with people. Hmm…maybe you should write that one, and if you’re lucky someone might turn it into a TV show. It could be the next Stargate!
