Country Fayre

Engagements and weddings created with vintage china, bunting and great food
I’m Victoria and I have a passion for creating dishes and menus for special occasions with vintage style. I cater for picnics, garden parties, hen-dos, soirees, afternoon teas and buffets at home,in the office, in the local hall or in the countryside. You can also rent my mis-matched, porcelain china and accessories to give your celebration it’s own, unique look. Mix quality, local ingredients, a generous spoonful of creativity then lace with retro chic trimmings, and you’ll discover my recipe for a truly memorable Vintage Rose food experience.
Local, seasonal and from the heart
I live in Derbyshire, the home of good food and local produce, and cover Sheffield and the Peak District. I use quality ingredients and wherever possible I produce homemade, seasonal fayre. That’s why you’ll taste my hand-picked elderflower champagne in spring and homemade lemonades and nettle or Rhubarb cordials in summer to name but a few. I also make my own fruit preserves and chutneys. I love to forage in the local woodlands and love to talk about food.
Who can resist the finest of institutions, the traditional afternoon tea? Luxurious and elegant, my vintage afternoon tea is a mouth-watering and utterly English affair. Choose from a selection of loose leaf teas and infusions. My Vintage Rose afternoon teas include freshly cut finger sandwiches served on my three-tier cake stands, followed by a delectable selection of afternoon cakes, scones or pastries. Let us help you recreate the quintessential English tea time experience.
Sitting on a picnic rug, sipping tea from best china and tasting cake, it’s so Jane Austin! I can’t bring Mr Darcy to order, but I will deliver fine picnic essentials with vintage accessories to boot. You could be taking a break in the country with friends, a romantic afternoon for Valentine’s Day or wanting to create that special moment to propose to your sweetheart. Why go out on the town when you could have your own countryside feast.
Picnic menus and ideas
From traditional English Ploughman’s picnics to Greek, Italian or Arabic picnic menus.I have designed my Vintage Rose picnic menus to give you inspiration, but remember I can tailor ideas to suit the season and occasion.
