copenhagen for name for female dog?

I got my hubby a puppy (mini dachshund) (female) and he is thinking about naming it copenhagen. is that a boy name? or could it be for both?

It might be one thing to make it part of her registered name.. you could name her “Chewie” (hehe.. copenhagen, chew).. but I think its too many syllables for a name.
