Terrorist Rendition?
I am curently employed as an English teacher here in China, one of my students asked me the meaning of the word RENDITION, turning to my trusty Oxford English Dictionary it means basicaly the playing of a pieace of music by one or more people, I relayed this to the student, however she said no that is not what she ment, it was to do with terrorists, so OK my american friends out there it appears you have hyjacked the english language again please explain.
In the context of Terrorism what does Rendition mean?

I believe your student was referring to the practice of “extraordinary rendition” – an American extra-judicial procedure which involves the sending of untried suspected terrorists or alleged supporters of groups which the US Government considers to be terrorist organizations, to countries other than the United States (coincidentally those known to practice torture or with poor human rights records) for imprisonment and interrogation.
In legal terms, rendition is a “surrender” or “handing over” of persons or property, particularly from one jurisdiction to another.
