How long can a cut phalaenopsis flower spike last in a jar of water?
Hi,
My gorgeous phalaenopsis plant was suffering from root rot, so I had to cut the flower spike off and put it in a vase filled with water. The spike has a couple flowers on it, and I am noticing that some of the buds are now beginning to grow, now that I have placed the spike in a vase of water.
My question is, how long can this flower spike last like this?
At least a week, if not longer. They are hardy flowers.
