- 10/05/09-Albert lee and Hogan’s heroes at Caleri Caernarfon. When fellow blues players such as Eric Clapton call Albert Lee ‘undoutedly one of the finest guitarists in the world’ the whole world should sit up and take note. Touring for an astonishing 40 years, Albert lee comes to Wales with his band ‘Hogan’s heroes’ to show Welsh blues fans, how its done.
- 01/05/09 to 02/05/09 -The irish and Welsh country music festival in Gwalchmai. Because they werent born in Nashville, but thats not going to stop them delivering some of the best country music about. Featuring Suzanne McCann, John C King and the Monairs on the first night and Mary Duff, Frank McCaffrey and Wil Tan on the second night, its not a night to miss.
- The Hamsters play Jimi Hendrix at the Beaufort Theatre -07/03/09. Widely reguarded as one of the uk’s leading interpreters of guitar legend Jimi Hendrix, one of the uk’s premier rock trios the Hamster’s play an show of solely Jimi Hendrix songs. The Hamsters are still going strong, having played 4,000 shows in 21 years!
- 05/04/09 -Cardiff international arena- The Prodigy’s ‘Invaders must die’ tour. Shaking up dance music since 1990, the Prodigy wereat the forefront of the rave explosion, adding early techno fusion/trance/punk/dance into their sound to create something powerful and unique. With support from Dizzee Rascal.
- 24/05/09 to 25/04/09 -’Hammerfest’ at Potins, Prestatyn Sands, North Wales. Local Welsh metal band ‘Bullet for my Valentine’ headline the events to kick off the beginning of the festival season, and will be joined by Trigger the bloodshed, Alestorm, Cathedral and Sabbat, with some bands to still be announced.
